The final closing of the Wachstumsfonds Deutschland was announced on November 22, 2023. A total of around EUR 1 billion was raised from over 20 institutional investors. As a central module of the Future Fund of the German government, the Wachstumsfonds Deutschland is one of the largest VC funds of funds ever launched in Europe.
The investors of the Wachstumsfonds Deutschland are insurers, superannuation funds, foundations, asset managers and large family offices. The Federal Government and KfW Capital are anchor investors, while KfW Capital also acts as both an investment intermediary and an investment advisor for the Wachstumsfonds Deutschland. The fund will be managed by the fund service platform Universal Investment Gruppe.
