As part of the WIN (Growth and Innovation Capital for Germany) initiative, KfW Capital is providing new impetus to help qualify future venture capital investors.
In a collaboration with the leading business schools ESMT Berlin and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, targeted training programmes in the field of venture capital are being developed, which are aimed specifically at potential investors.
Venture education is crucial for attracting new investor groups to the venture capital asset class and thus strengthening financing opportunities for entrepreneurs," said Dr Jörg Goschin, Co-Chairman of the Board of KfW Capital. ESMT and Frankfurt School are two strong partners whose expertise and networks will play a key role in promoting the German VC market.
The programmes are designed to provide investors with the expertise and skills needed to drive innovation and promote the growth of young businesses. Through its subsidiary Futury, Frankfurt School also provides investors with access to the VC and startup ecosystem and offers a Certified Venture Capital Analyst certificate programme.
The WIN initiative was launched at the Startup Germany Summit by leading representatives from the worlds of politics, business and science in order to meet the growing demand for capital in Germany. KfW Capital is pleased to be able to strengthen the German VC ecosystem in the long term through this cooperation and to help make Germany more competitive as a location for innovative start-ups.
