Risk management and risk controlling

After studying business administration (M.Sc.) at the University of Bayreuth and completing the risk trainee program at KfW IPEX Bank GmbH, Felix Herr took up a position as risk manager as early as the spin-off phase of KfW Capital in 2018. Since June 2023, he is in charge of the Risk Management and Risk Controlling team.

Before joining KfW Capital in October 2024, Jan Höpp initially worked as an Investor Relations Manager at a mid-sized AIFM (d.i.i. Investment GmbH). He later served as Legal Counsel, focusing primarily on the structuring and launch of investment funds. In addition to his Bachelor's degree in Business Law (LL.B.), he holds a Master of Financial Law (LL.M.) from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.

Jonas Karmedar has been working as a risk controller at KfW Capital since September 2023. After studying mathe­matics (M.Sc.) in Münster, he worked for two years as a management consultant at Accenture in the field of risk management. In February 2018 he joined the risk controlling at KfW, where he mainly created risk models.

The risk manager at KfW Capital joined from KfW IPEX-Bank, where he worked as a credit analyst. Before, Stefan worked at Berenberg Bank, Sylvia Quandt Research / Koch Bank and BHF-Bank AG/ING Financial Markets. Stefan graduated as PhD in economic an politics at the university of Augsburg/Germany.

Sebastian joined KfW Capital as a risk manager in October 2021. Previously, he worked for three years at PwC in Frankfurt, where he audited the trading and risk management of banks. Sebastian completed his education at the University of Bayreuth, where he studied business administration with a focus on FACT.

Before joining KfW Capital in April 2023, Elina was responsible for strategic share­holdings of KfW as well as the super­visory board mandates of Deutsche Post AG and Deutsche Telekom AG for the Chief Executive Officer of KfW. Before joining KfW, Elina was a junior credit analyst in KfW IPEX-Bank. She graduated as Dr. rer. pol. at Humboldt-Universität in Berlin.

Jan Schubert joined KFW-Capital in May 2024 as a risk controller with an information security officer function. Prior to this, he worked for 12 years in various divisions of the KFW Banking Group, including Compliance and the KFW Development Bank. He holds a degree in business administration (BA) with emphasis on China studies and is a qualified banker..
